Happy Birthday Tate……& Goodbye

It’s been a couple of weeks since these pictures were taken but I couldn’t bring myself to write this post!….Madison and I’s best friends moved away and this was our last evening together……..

While Emily was packing Tate came down and played with Madison….They were so cute together! They laid on the floor and cuddled!

Later Donny and Emily came down and we celebrated Tate’s birthday! He got an awesome tricycle and both Tate and Madison LOVED it!

This video was about a month ago! Madison had fallen asleep after church and Donny and Emily came down for dinner. Tate was so cute……! These two have been the best of friends….almost like lovers! Neither one seemed to understand that Tate was moving far away and wouldn’t be able to come down and play whenever. Madison still talks about having Tate come and play, we pray from Tate, Emi, and Donny at every prayer and if she hears a sound upstairs she says “Donny jumping!” The other day she said, “Tate go away, I go get him.” And as we walked passed their apartment to get laundry she said, “Tate no there, Tate gone.”

I’m sad to say this is one of the only pictures I have of Emily and I together……

This post is hard for me to write but because this is my scrapbook as well I really want to write it all down. Emily has become a very best friend. Moving out to Minnesota I didn’t have any expectations and I never would have guessed that I was going to meet my best friend. We were called to teach the same Primary class or we probably would never have become close friends; then miraculously the apartment right above us opened up the month before Donny and Emily were needing a new apartment. We had some of the greatest times together…..and I’m so grateful that Heavenly Father sent such a good friend for me and Madison. It was great to have someone right upstairs to help when I had a migraine and couldn’t talk! and to help lift Madison after I had surgery, and most of all just to get together and laugh while our kids played! It was so hard to say good-bye and every time I go to the park or zoo or pool I miss my friend and it breaks my heart to see Madison playing on the slides by herself. I’m so grateful for all the fun times we had and the great memories we made!

Miss you Em…….Good luck and hope to see you guys soon.

4th of July!

We had a HOT, HOT 4th of July. It was SO humid and in the 100’s on top of that. The shade felt just the same as being in the sun!…But we had fun. We went to our ward’s picnic at 11 and sweated our way through lunch! Then after Madison’s nap we took her out in the parking lot and gave her a firework show. She thought it was great!

IMG_7539IMG_7540IMG_7541IMG_7542She thought this was pretty cool!

Here’s my Man lighten up the world and my little lady sittin’ back watching it all happen!

Madison was all business! Here she was getting the next firework out of the bag for Daddy! While one was burning she already getting the next one ready for Daddy!

A bit of this and that…..

JD did a youth fireside the other night so his box of army stuff was on the floor in our room. I had just undressed her to get her ready for the day and she come into the bathroom all dolled up in her Daddy’s Army stuff! It was adorable! She said “Mommy look!”

Who knew I’d have to move to the big city to see a turkey in “the wild”! This was walking out or window in our parking lot the other day. Too crazy!

Madison loves to have us come and read books with her! As you can see JD has a pile of dolls in his lap that he is reading to as well! If he ever stopped reading cause she didn’t seem to be listening she say, “No, Read Daddy.”

Camping Fun!

On the 22nd we headed to Wisconsin with Donny and Emily to meet up with Jessie and Cody and camp for the weekend! We had so much fun. Madison LOVES to camp! Her and the kids just ran around camp and played like crazy! It felt great to be camping with our friends and family!

They had a bubble machine that the kids LOVED! They were covered in bubbles and then went and played in the sand. They had sand everywhere!

Free Carousal Day!

A Carousal by our house has a free day a month, so Emily and I took the kids. Madison had a solemn look on her face the whole time but she loved every minute of it! Each time when we had to get off she would push me away and say “No, Stop.” I would explain that we would have to go get back in line and then we could go again.

That morning Madison brought my mascara to me asked for me to put it on her…….Her eyes looked so beautiful!
