Father's Day and Madison Udate

These first pictures were taken on Father's Day! Madison was 14 days old.
Even though it is late I have to say Happy Father's Day to JD. This new parent stuff has been such a joy for the both of us! I love to watch JD with Madison; he is such a good Daddy! The other night he began reading to Madison (a book on Thomas Jefferson!) and tonight she gets to learn about Theodore Roosevelt! It was so cute and I loved it!
Daddy's Little Girl!Madison's outfit was a gift from Grandma Oborn and it was so cute on her! This picture happened as I was doing this blog! JD was holding her and told me to come look! She is the most adorable little thing ever! I love to just sit and look at her! Madison with Mommy
Snoozin' on Daddy's lap
This is her favorite way to sleep!
This was after a shopping trip with Mom: It wiped her out!!
JD and I's most said phrase: What a Cutie!

I'm proud to say I made this Sun Hat for Madison!
It turned out very cute and she looks so good in it!

I think I'm going to start selling them! (Let me know if you want one)

Madison loves to make some of the funnest facial expressions when she has just eaten and is starting to fall asleep. I've had a hard time catching it on video, but I finally caught a little of it. I wish it showed more of her expressions but at least I caught a big smile!!!!

Madison has been the greatest blessing! We love her so much.
At Madison's two week appointment she weighed 7lbs 11oz. Our Dr. said she looks very healthy. The only thing she had a concern about was her eye development. If Madison's eye sight hasn't improved by 1 month then we have to go back and see her. We are praying that everything will develop properly.

Meet Madison Rose Oborn

Madison Rose was born on June 7, 2010 at 11:26!
She weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 21 1/4 in long!
Everything went very well especially for this being our first baby. At about 3:00 I started to keep track of my contractions and they were 3-5 mins apart. Not all of them were very painful though so I called my women's center to ask if they all had to be painful; they said no. I called JD at work and told him I was having contractions consistently. He asked if I could wait 40 more mins till he was done with work!! I told him I was anxious but that I would be okay to wait. After getting off the phone with him I mopped my floors, started the dishes and then went and speed walked the neighborhood for about 15 mins till he came home!!!!
When JD got home he asked if he could take a shower!!! I reluctently told him sure and that I should probably take one too since I didn't know how long till I'd get another one!
We got to hospital about 6:00. My Midwife broke my water a couple hours later. 15 mins after that I was begging for an epidural. By 11:00 I was pushing and 11:26 Madison was born!!!!! The nurses couldn't believe that it went that fast!
We love our baby girl! I am loving the experience of being a mommy! It's amazing! JD has been so wonderful too. My Dr. told me I'd get the "weepies" and JD has been so understanding and supporting through all the crazy hormone stuff! I love him more then ever!!
Here are a lot of pictures of our princess!

Grandma and Grandpa shortly after Madison was born
JD is the best Daddy ever!!!!

What a cutie!
Madison loves to sleep with her hands above her head. I swaddle her really tight and in just a short time her hands are out!!
Our first family photo! The Sunday after her birth.
Grandma and Madison (Madie looked very cute for church!)
Grandpa and Madison

JD thought this was funny!!! You can't really tell, but she is not laying on her back, but is propped up on the couch.
The Best Daddy!

Madison grins like this after she has eaten. I've had a hard time catching it, but I finally caught one! I'll have to try and get one when she has a full grin! This morning she even did a little laugh while she was asleep!

Memorial Weekend Campout!

We left Wednesday night and headed to Blackfoot, Idaho to spend the weekend camping with our fam! We had a great time and I was even able to sleep well the whole time! I got many comments about how crazy I was to go camping at 37 weeks, but I'm glad I went! We came back Monday afternoon. I took over 400 pictures so I had a hard time deciding which ones to put on the blog. I still put a lot on!!! :) Enjoy! I haven't doctored any of them yet so there will be some really cool looking ones when I do the special effects!
This is my sis-in-law Jordin and My niece Lucy Lucy and Grandpa getting ready to go on a 4-wheeler ride. Lucy loved them. She came back leading all the way against Grandpa like he was a recliner!
Terri kissing John good-bye; the best is Jodin is puckered up too!!! :)

This is my niece Julia; she was always happy so it was easy to get a pic of her.
JD and his Sis Jessie playing ladder golf
JD and Julia - they're best buds!
This is Tyrel (bro-in-law) posing for the camera! Sexy!
Family Pictures - we took many pictures I've only chosen a few to show
John and Terri's turned out really good, I can't wait to do some effects!
We took individual family pics as well and just as always JD had to be silly. I have about 10 different pictures and in everyone he is making a goofy face.
Grandma and the grand kids
We tried to get a good pic of the grand kids, but they were done!

This picture does a good job of showing the struggle!
My niece Lucy. I love my telephoto lens JD gave me for Christmas I can get some great up close shots!
JDO
Yes we camped in this weather!!! It snows and rains every year and still we can't wait for Memorial Weekend to come each year! The snow this year was almost the size of golf balls! It was amazing. The boys shooting
Grandma time
This is the best picture ever of Grayson! He gets the cutest face and I finally caught a picture of it!
If you look really close you'll see two people at the top of the hill. Jason and Hailey decided to climb to the top!
Pretty good zoom wouldn't ya say!
Lucy blowing bubbles
The Anderson family out on a canoe ride!
Told ya there were a lot of pictures!
Baby Update:
Last Wednesday before going camping I was dilated to a 1.5. Today when I went she said I'm at a 2 and I'm 70% effaced. She scraped my membranes (which hurt) and said that if I wanted to come again on Friday she'd scrape me again to help encourage Madison to come sooner! I think it has helped things move along a little more because I'm experiencing more discomfort now. She said Madison is about 7lbs. 9oz.
It's getting close!
