Minnesota State Fair

So we have the BEST state fair there is! It is huge, and we had SO much fun!

This picture was taken at 9:30 in the morning and look at all those people. Every street was like this.

Madie and I went on the HUGE slide! As you can see she was a little freaked out.

We ate SO much food!… I didn’t a picture of it all, but this is ginormous crème puff I had. I was sick after eating it, but the crème was amazing! Some our favorites were: roasted corn on a cob, thick slice of bacon on a stick (dipped in salt, pepper and maple syrup sauce), best onion rings we’ve EVER had, fried cheese curds, chocolate covered cheesecake, and cinnamon roasted almonds…..the list really could go on!

We took Madison on the swinging boat. It wasn’t really her thing, and I had just eaten that crème puff and was SO sick after!

We wiped her out!

We had a great time at the fair. JD and I went back over in the evening while Donny and Emily watched Madison for us. I didn’t take the camera, but we had a great time together. Really we just ate more food. ….Until next year!

This happened the other day and I laughed SO hard; I had to get the camera before I helped her!

This tired hubby of mine is working SO hard. This semester of law school is insane – he has work or class everyday but Sunday, two callings at Church, and a wife and daughter who are always begging for more time! I appreciate all that he does for us.

A little over a week ago my little niece Lacey was born, so Madison and I took the 5 hour drive to Wisconsin and met Lacey and spent some much needed time with Granny.

Madison was IN love with the picnic table!

Madison is becoming a little climber. She loved to get on the coffee table and dance around. She even fell off once and still wants to play on it!

Madie loves to eat her snack standing at the table with Eli. The other day I gave her a pudding and a spoon and she ate it all by herself! – she’s pretty coordinated.

I’ve been doing a lot of DIY project around our house. I’ve posted them on my Craft Blog (click HERE to see), but I know a lot of you have wanted to see some pics of our house.

Here is our front room: (I just made the window valances and curtains)….I also found these couches for free on craigslist! Oh and I did the lamps too! …you can see it all on my other blog!

After church Maddie was playin with her toys and decided it would be more fun if she just climbed in with them! This was a first. She has also been taking out pots and pans and sitting in them. Every time I run for the camera and when I get back she’s already out!

Today was free Carousel Day at our Zoo so Emily and I took our cute kiddos! They had fun at the zoo…..here they’re checking out the big fish.

This was right before the ride, she was watching the Carousel go round and round!

Can’t wait to go!

Madison sure loved the Carousel!….We’ll be coming again next month for the next free day!

Trip to Idaho & Wedding……SOOOOO Many pics!

Before we went to Idaho, JD helped Madison get all pretty right before taking her bath before bed. She loved it!!! She is so girl! She loves to put on necklaces. Someday I’ll make her some dress up clothes….she's gonna love it!

Maddie unloaded all the these floss picks, untwisted my hair gel bottle and then would poke them into the hole! I was amazed at her coordination!

The last week of July Madison and I headed to Idaho so I could help on the farm and then JD came at the end of the week for his brother’s wedding.
Here my Mom put two balls in her shirt….she thought it was pretty funny!

Corn on the cop LOVER!!!!…. We went and saw the Christopher’s in WI and they sent us home with some corn from their field! yummy!

Madison will now sign please, all done, night-night, wave good bye, say the sounds for bear, cat, dog, elephant, crocodile, and monkey! She is such a smarty! Must get it from her Daddy…. OH, that reminds me I forgot to tell you all the JD was on the Dean’s Honor Roll last semester for law school!!!!! WOW!
