Apple Junction

So JD got a new toy for his birthday – I know, I know it’s early; but he was SO SO excited! Here he is with Madison watching The Lion King on his new Ipad 2 on the Kitchen floor!

On Saturday we went to McGougall’s Apple Junction in Hastings, MN. It was one of those trips that just wasn’t starting out well! Forgot my coat, didn’t pack enough food, needed gas, JD twisted his ankle on the way out to the car………and so on. But the drive was beautiful and it felt great to drive through farming country again. It made me miss home. It was gorgeous!

Madison was a little shy around the goats. She didn’t want to stay very close and loved to look at them. With JD’s help she fed one of them!

Then we met Maddie the calf! She liked her until she started “mooing” and then she couldn’t run away fast enough! When I held she grabbed on SO tight!

After it was all over we were glad we had gone, but next year we’ll make sure Tate comes with us!
Madison is really into babies right now. She is always carrying her baby around and taking care of it! She’ll put it in the stroller, feed it in her high chair, give her a book to read, put a bib on it, and in the pictures below even let her watch Lion King with her!

I love this picture! These two have so much fun together! I think Madison looks like Julia in this picture and even a little of Lucy!

Here are the joys of my life!!! They are my world and my life! I’m SO happy to be a wife and a mother!

I feel so behind! I have so much to put on here and even more to scrapbook.

Madison LOVES to draw! It’s one of her favorite things to do!

She also loves SHOES!!! Yep her mama’s daughter! She loved to take off and put on her shoes, Mom’s shoes, Dad’s shoes and Emily (from upstairs) shoes!

To sum up life right now: We have fun everyday!

Madison has a mullet gone on these days so I put them in pig tails the other day and her curls looked so cute!

This is our friend Tate! We have been SO blessed to get to have some of our best friends live right above us. Tate and Madie are the best of friends. As you can see he likes to stand on things!

I got these PJs from a garage sale and when I put them on her they were HUGE!

The other night I ate some chocolate peanut M&M’s and left them by the side of our bed. The next morning I went looking for Madison (cause she was quiet!) and this is what I found!!!

Madison LOVES books and she likes to get into this chair in her room and side and read books. She feel SO grown up! She knew I was taking her picture so she made sure to smile big!

Jessie and Cody came out for Conference Weekend and we had a great time! I have lots of pics to edit and then I’ll post some cute pics of the kiddos! But this was so cute I had to share it now…Jessie did Madie’s hair for her! (She didn’t cut it!) Madison sat very still while her hair was done and then liked what she saw in the mirror!!!

Like I say at the end of every post….Madie brings us so much joy. She is growing SO much!

She has a lot of words these days:

Mama, Dee (Daddy), Pees (please), Du (thank you), a done (all done), bye, hi, shoe, Jesus….

JD is running none stop these days; We will be SO glad when law school is over.

Minnesota State Fair

So we have the BEST state fair there is! It is huge, and we had SO much fun!

This picture was taken at 9:30 in the morning and look at all those people. Every street was like this.

Madison wasn’t too excited about touching the goat!

Madie and I went on the HUGE slide! As you can see she was a little freaked out.

We ate SO much food!… I didn’t a picture of it all, but this is ginormous crème puff I had. I was sick after eating it, but the crème was amazing! Some our favorites were: roasted corn on a cob, thick slice of bacon on a stick (dipped in salt, pepper and maple syrup sauce), best onion rings we’ve EVER had, fried cheese curds, chocolate covered cheesecake, and cinnamon roasted almonds…..the list really could go on!

We took Madison on the swinging boat. It wasn’t really her thing, and I had just eaten that crème puff and was SO sick after!

We wiped her out!

We had a great time at the fair. JD and I went back over in the evening while Donny and Emily watched Madison for us. I didn’t take the camera, but we had a great time together. Really we just ate more food. ….Until next year!

This happened the other day and I laughed SO hard; I had to get the camera before I helped her!
