Memorial Weekend Campout!

We left Wednesday night and headed to Blackfoot, Idaho to spend the weekend camping with our fam! We had a great time and I was even able to sleep well the whole time! I got many comments about how crazy I was to go camping at 37 weeks, but I'm glad I went! We came back Monday afternoon. I took over 400 pictures so I had a hard time deciding which ones to put on the blog. I still put a lot on!!! :) Enjoy! I haven't doctored any of them yet so there will be some really cool looking ones when I do the special effects!
This is my sis-in-law Jordin and My niece Lucy Lucy and Grandpa getting ready to go on a 4-wheeler ride. Lucy loved them. She came back leading all the way against Grandpa like he was a recliner!
Terri kissing John good-bye; the best is Jodin is puckered up too!!! :)

This is my niece Julia; she was always happy so it was easy to get a pic of her.
JD and his Sis Jessie playing ladder golf
JD and Julia - they're best buds!
This is Tyrel (bro-in-law) posing for the camera! Sexy!
Family Pictures - we took many pictures I've only chosen a few to show
John and Terri's turned out really good, I can't wait to do some effects!
We took individual family pics as well and just as always JD had to be silly. I have about 10 different pictures and in everyone he is making a goofy face.
Grandma and the grand kids
We tried to get a good pic of the grand kids, but they were done!

This picture does a good job of showing the struggle!
My niece Lucy. I love my telephoto lens JD gave me for Christmas I can get some great up close shots!
JDO
Yes we camped in this weather!!! It snows and rains every year and still we can't wait for Memorial Weekend to come each year! The snow this year was almost the size of golf balls! It was amazing. The boys shooting
Grandma time
This is the best picture ever of Grayson! He gets the cutest face and I finally caught a picture of it!
If you look really close you'll see two people at the top of the hill. Jason and Hailey decided to climb to the top!
Pretty good zoom wouldn't ya say!
Lucy blowing bubbles
The Anderson family out on a canoe ride!
Told ya there were a lot of pictures!
Baby Update:
Last Wednesday before going camping I was dilated to a 1.5. Today when I went she said I'm at a 2 and I'm 70% effaced. She scraped my membranes (which hurt) and said that if I wanted to come again on Friday she'd scrape me again to help encourage Madison to come sooner! I think it has helped things move along a little more because I'm experiencing more discomfort now. She said Madison is about 7lbs. 9oz.
It's getting close!

Our three year Anniversary!

Monday was our three year Anniversary! We had a great day; we had BBQ pizza (JD's favorite) and then went to How To Train Your Dragon in 3D! The movie was awesome and the best part was we were the only ones in the whole theater!!!!!!
I can't believe it has been three years! They truly have been the happiest three of my life! I'm so grateful for JD and love him very much! He is my very best friend!
These next two pictures were my Mother's Day and Anniversary gifts! I love them! I came home from work one day and these two boxes were sitting on the kitchen table. One said Happy Mother's Day and the other said Happy Anniversary!
This amazing cradle was a gift from our amazing friends!!!! Mike (who made our gorgeous coffee table) made this cradle just for us! They surprised us last Friday! It is so beautiful and it's made out of Walnut!!!! To give you an idea of how much it's worth he would probably charge someone (supplies +labor) about $1500! JD and I love it and it looks amazing in our bedroom. Every night when I go to bed I look at it and get excited that in about 4 weeks there will be a baby girl laying in it!
Lots of people have been wanting more pictures of my belly, so here I am at 36 weeks!
This is what I came home to last night! (Not the flowers! those are from my friend Amanda and my baby shower) But the air soft gun! JD just needed to go get one gun for his brother Tyrel so they can play next weekend while we're camping. Well JD called me and said so I bought three guns! One at Big Five and two from Amazon! But the funniest thing are the rest of the pictures!
JD had to try out his new toy in the HOUSE! When I came home from teaching Parenting Class the evidence was all over the living room chair and floor!!!!
The best was JD was beaming with excitement about his toy! Oh and he got so many guns so that there would be enough for everyone else to play with them Memorial Weekend! So everyone had better play!

Hurray Tyrel is Home!

A week ago tomorrow Tyrel (JD's younger brother) flew home from his mission! We were so excited. We got to the Pocatello airport about a half hour early to find he was already there!!!!! He came walking out of the bathroom as we were standing there thinking we still had a while to wait. It was anti climatic! This is Tyrel and Grandpa Dye. I really did a terrible job with taking pictures, I just wasn't ready for him to already be there.
The next pictures show how Lucy (my niece) responded to Tyrel!
JD took Lucy to go scare Tyrel but Tyrel ended up scaring her! She was not okay with Ty for awhile after that. These next three pictures show her holding on for dear life around JD's neck! It was hilarious!
She did not move from this position for some time, the only thing that would mover were her eyes to occasionally look at her mom!

This also shows she wanted nothing to do with Ty!
Shortly after this Ty and Lucy became best buds by playing ring around the roses on the tramp! It was cute!
We're glad Tyrel is home!
Also new this week is we know for sure where we are going.......We'll be moving to St. Paul, Minnesota the end of August and JD will attend Hamline University!!!

Long day & Some crafts from Madison!

Today we went to a child birthing class at the hospital. My husband was not excited about having to go in the first place, but he stayed up until almost 4 last night playing video games so this morning's 6:45 alarm did not treat him well. I almost gave in and let him sleep in, but I decided I had told him about this class and it was his decision to stay up so late. Well.....the class was WAY longer then it needed to be. It lasted from 8am to 4 pm with an hour lunch. SO ridiculous. The information that I found helpful would have only taken an hour to go over. I am happy to say though my husband did not moan as much as I thought he would; just slept through many of the videos!!! :) I think it gave him some satisfaction knowing that I found it to have been a waste of time!

It did get me excited and nervous about what will be happening in less then 2 months!

Here is a picture of me at 32 weeks:

More getting ready for Madison! I made this a little while ago. I used the left over fabric I had from her quilt.

This is a cute fabric flower that I also made out of fabric leftover from her quilt! I was happy with how it turned out!

Another craft project! This one didn't really cost me anything. I found the sticks outside and used some paint that I already had. I was excited with how it turned out!

It was easy, cheap and it adds some contrast against the dark wall.

Less than a week!

I don't have any pictures with me, so this will be a picture less blog, but I just had to write and say, "Tyrel comes home in less than a week!" One week from to day we'll be in Idaho with family and hangin out with my bro-in-law who has been gone on a mission for two years!! Hurray!
Also exciting is we are now 32 weeks along. I only have 6 more week of working! Hurray!
Another interested story that happened to JD this week is a lady at his work had a heart attack. She even started to turn blue. JD said it was very scary but luckily the lady is okay. Her son was making a mess of things though, JD had to pull him aside and tell him to settle down cause he was making things worst. JD was very ready for that day to be over.
Okay last exciting thing! I just had to tell you that I got the best deal ever - instead of paying for a box of tampons I'll get paid for them!!!!!! Really I'll only be getting about $.70 back as increase, but that's even better than it just being free!!!
We have a dr. apt today so hopefully we get a good picture that I can post tonight!

We're movin' away.....

So this week JD was accepted to U of Detroit and Hamline University for law school. Detroit didn't offer a scholarship so that school is out, but Hamline did which means we'll be heading to law school in August. We're still waiting to here back from another school before we really decide where we're going, but at this point it's looking like Minnesota will be our home for the next three or four years. We're both very nervous and very excited.
About a week ago I finished Madison's rag quilt! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now I'll make a crib skirt and some curtains!
JD and I had our 30 week Dr. apt on Wednesday. Everything still is looking great! Last month when we went in our midwife said I had gained 15 lbs during the pregnancy and said that was very good. Then this week she said Holy Cow you gained 10 lbs in three weeks! I told her no way; I've been eating exactly the same, even walked (well waddled!) to work a couple times and my pants still fit like they did before. She then said I was the third person that day to have been surprised so maybe her scale was off. I sure hope it was off!!!!!! That is WAY more then the pound a week you're supposed to gain. Hopefully next time I go in I will have lost 7 lbs!

It's getting a lot closer, I now go to the dr. every two weeks!!!!

Getting ready!!!!

Here is me at 28 weeks. We've only got 2 1/2 more months to go!This is the biggest purchase we've made so far in getting ready for Madison. I got a good deal too!!! This travel system was $200 but I got it for $160!
My co-worker introduced me to a jogger and after doing my research I decided this was what I wanted! I just can't wait to test it out!

Update on us: We still don't know where we'll be in August. Utah, Detroit, Milwaukee, or Minnesota. We'll stay in Utah if JD isn't accepted it law school, but if he is we'll be headed East.

Only three months to go

We had a dr. appointment on Wednesday. We're 27 weeks which means this is last week of the second trimester! The doc said everything is looking great, Madison is about 2 lbs. 7 oz. and probably around 14 in long (don't know the exact length). Our midwife said that Madie has long legs and she couldn't guess where that came from!
We now only have three months or 12 1/2 weeks to go!

Happy Birthday Sis

Thought I'd write and say Happy Birthday to my Sis! I really was blessed with a great sister!
Hope you're having fun in St. George Kie!
JD and I were just talking about how quickly time is going. I'm now 26 weeks (only one more week and we're in the third trimester) which means we only have three months to go before Madison Rose will join our family. Also JD's little bro Tyrel comes home NEXT MONTH! We're so excited and can't believe he's been gone for two years!

Finally - updated the craft blog!

Just wanted to let you all know I've finally updated my craft blog!!!
Here is one of my latest projects! I'm having a lot of fun getting ready for Madison.

I'm now planning her bedroom! I've got some very fun ideas! I'm going to make vinyl for her walls and then I'll sew all her bedding and curtains! I'm so excited; if it turns out looking like it looks in my head right now then it will be super cute! :)

Just wanted to say hi!

So I don't have any pictures to post yet, but I really felt like telling you all hello.
We're doing very well! JD is busy with Bishopric responsibilities and work, but still has been able to find the time to relax with some video games.
Me, I'm busy with work. We just moved buildings and I took over as parenting class coordinator when my co-worker left. But I'm enjoying it! I just wish I had more time to dedicate to crafting!!!
Madison appears to be very healthy. We're now at 25 weeks, only two more and we'll be in our third trimester. Her kicks are getting very strong! I'm nervous for when she gets bigger cause it'll probably get painful! JD and I are getting excited for Madie to come, I'm obsessed with planning how I'll decorate her room! And I've already made some flowers for her hair!

Lots of pics!

Wow this post has a lot of pics!!!!
On Thursday we had our targeted ultrasound which was fun! Right now we're at 23 weeks. The Dr. said Madison is looking very good, her heart and everything are great. Below are some of the 4-D ultrasound pics she took for us. JD doesn't really like the 4-D, he thinks it looks weird but I love it! It was so cool cause while we were doing it Madie started to drink and so we saw her mouth go open and closed!!!!
We have a very active child especially at about 9:30 at night! Sometime it feels like she is doing summersaults and other times karate!
This is our newest addition to the family! Last Saturday we went out to just test drive a RAV4 to see if we wanted to look into those and ended up leaving the Toyota dealership as owners of this 2003 Ford Escape! We ended up getting a great deal and we have really enjoyed it this week. We feel we were really blessed and are very grateful!
Also new..... JD now has GLASSES!!!!! He has had many people at work say he looks very distinguished now! He was amazed at how much better he could see! He looks good in them!

I have hated how our main bathroom has looked since we moved in, so i finally did some things to change it up. This is what I did.....
I was happy with how it turned out! JD is not to thrilled about the circles but I really like it! The bathroom is not quite the way I want yet though, I'll have to do some more brainstorming!

These are the circle JD doesn't like much - their above the toilet.
Also new to our home is the BEAUTIFUL coffee table that our friend made just for us!!! We got it about a month ago and I forgot to post it. We absolutely love it and it makes our house look so good. The only problem is it make the rest of our furniture look cheap!!!:)
Oh, the rug is new too! JD took me out shopping for it just after Christmas!
Here is my little belly that I haven't taken a picture of until now. I'm embarrassed with the picture but JD was playing PS3 and only had time to take one!
JD brought this home one day after work!!! It made my day and I was SO surprised!!!! It made me feel very special!
As you can see things are going very well for us and we are very happy!

So long, farewell.....

Today we said good-bye. Our upstairs friends bought her from us. We're so excited that they did! However I think I'm really going to miss her. This morning I told JD to enjoy his last drive to work in it and he told me I was having a harder time with it then he is!!!! :) What can I say, I'm vain and I like how we look when we're in it! But it's on to practical - something more baby friendly.
