Long day & Some crafts from Madison!

Today we went to a child birthing class at the hospital. My husband was not excited about having to go in the first place, but he stayed up until almost 4 last night playing video games so this morning's 6:45 alarm did not treat him well. I almost gave in and let him sleep in, but I decided I had told him about this class and it was his decision to stay up so late. Well.....the class was WAY longer then it needed to be. It lasted from 8am to 4 pm with an hour lunch. SO ridiculous. The information that I found helpful would have only taken an hour to go over. I am happy to say though my husband did not moan as much as I thought he would; just slept through many of the videos!!! :) I think it gave him some satisfaction knowing that I found it to have been a waste of time!

It did get me excited and nervous about what will be happening in less then 2 months!

Here is a picture of me at 32 weeks:

More getting ready for Madison! I made this a little while ago. I used the left over fabric I had from her quilt.

This is a cute fabric flower that I also made out of fabric leftover from her quilt! I was happy with how it turned out!

Another craft project! This one didn't really cost me anything. I found the sticks outside and used some paint that I already had. I was excited with how it turned out!

It was easy, cheap and it adds some contrast against the dark wall.

Less than a week!

I don't have any pictures with me, so this will be a picture less blog, but I just had to write and say, "Tyrel comes home in less than a week!" One week from to day we'll be in Idaho with family and hangin out with my bro-in-law who has been gone on a mission for two years!! Hurray!
Also exciting is we are now 32 weeks along. I only have 6 more week of working! Hurray!
Another interested story that happened to JD this week is a lady at his work had a heart attack. She even started to turn blue. JD said it was very scary but luckily the lady is okay. Her son was making a mess of things though, JD had to pull him aside and tell him to settle down cause he was making things worst. JD was very ready for that day to be over.
Okay last exciting thing! I just had to tell you that I got the best deal ever - instead of paying for a box of tampons I'll get paid for them!!!!!! Really I'll only be getting about $.70 back as increase, but that's even better than it just being free!!!
We have a dr. apt today so hopefully we get a good picture that I can post tonight!

We're movin' away.....

So this week JD was accepted to U of Detroit and Hamline University for law school. Detroit didn't offer a scholarship so that school is out, but Hamline did which means we'll be heading to law school in August. We're still waiting to here back from another school before we really decide where we're going, but at this point it's looking like Minnesota will be our home for the next three or four years. We're both very nervous and very excited.
About a week ago I finished Madison's rag quilt! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now I'll make a crib skirt and some curtains!
JD and I had our 30 week Dr. apt on Wednesday. Everything still is looking great! Last month when we went in our midwife said I had gained 15 lbs during the pregnancy and said that was very good. Then this week she said Holy Cow you gained 10 lbs in three weeks! I told her no way; I've been eating exactly the same, even walked (well waddled!) to work a couple times and my pants still fit like they did before. She then said I was the third person that day to have been surprised so maybe her scale was off. I sure hope it was off!!!!!! That is WAY more then the pound a week you're supposed to gain. Hopefully next time I go in I will have lost 7 lbs!

It's getting a lot closer, I now go to the dr. every two weeks!!!!

Getting ready!!!!

Here is me at 28 weeks. We've only got 2 1/2 more months to go!This is the biggest purchase we've made so far in getting ready for Madison. I got a good deal too!!! This travel system was $200 but I got it for $160!
My co-worker introduced me to a jogger and after doing my research I decided this was what I wanted! I just can't wait to test it out!

Update on us: We still don't know where we'll be in August. Utah, Detroit, Milwaukee, or Minnesota. We'll stay in Utah if JD isn't accepted it law school, but if he is we'll be headed East.

Only three months to go

We had a dr. appointment on Wednesday. We're 27 weeks which means this is last week of the second trimester! The doc said everything is looking great, Madison is about 2 lbs. 7 oz. and probably around 14 in long (don't know the exact length). Our midwife said that Madie has long legs and she couldn't guess where that came from!
We now only have three months or 12 1/2 weeks to go!

Happy Birthday Sis

Thought I'd write and say Happy Birthday to my Sis! I really was blessed with a great sister!
Hope you're having fun in St. George Kie!
JD and I were just talking about how quickly time is going. I'm now 26 weeks (only one more week and we're in the third trimester) which means we only have three months to go before Madison Rose will join our family. Also JD's little bro Tyrel comes home NEXT MONTH! We're so excited and can't believe he's been gone for two years!

Finally - updated the craft blog!

Just wanted to let you all know I've finally updated my craft blog!!!
Here is one of my latest projects! I'm having a lot of fun getting ready for Madison.

I'm now planning her bedroom! I've got some very fun ideas! I'm going to make vinyl for her walls and then I'll sew all her bedding and curtains! I'm so excited; if it turns out looking like it looks in my head right now then it will be super cute! :)

Just wanted to say hi!

So I don't have any pictures to post yet, but I really felt like telling you all hello.
We're doing very well! JD is busy with Bishopric responsibilities and work, but still has been able to find the time to relax with some video games.
Me, I'm busy with work. We just moved buildings and I took over as parenting class coordinator when my co-worker left. But I'm enjoying it! I just wish I had more time to dedicate to crafting!!!
Madison appears to be very healthy. We're now at 25 weeks, only two more and we'll be in our third trimester. Her kicks are getting very strong! I'm nervous for when she gets bigger cause it'll probably get painful! JD and I are getting excited for Madie to come, I'm obsessed with planning how I'll decorate her room! And I've already made some flowers for her hair!

Lots of pics!

Wow this post has a lot of pics!!!!
On Thursday we had our targeted ultrasound which was fun! Right now we're at 23 weeks. The Dr. said Madison is looking very good, her heart and everything are great. Below are some of the 4-D ultrasound pics she took for us. JD doesn't really like the 4-D, he thinks it looks weird but I love it! It was so cool cause while we were doing it Madie started to drink and so we saw her mouth go open and closed!!!!
We have a very active child especially at about 9:30 at night! Sometime it feels like she is doing summersaults and other times karate!
This is our newest addition to the family! Last Saturday we went out to just test drive a RAV4 to see if we wanted to look into those and ended up leaving the Toyota dealership as owners of this 2003 Ford Escape! We ended up getting a great deal and we have really enjoyed it this week. We feel we were really blessed and are very grateful!
Also new..... JD now has GLASSES!!!!! He has had many people at work say he looks very distinguished now! He was amazed at how much better he could see! He looks good in them!

I have hated how our main bathroom has looked since we moved in, so i finally did some things to change it up. This is what I did.....
I was happy with how it turned out! JD is not to thrilled about the circles but I really like it! The bathroom is not quite the way I want yet though, I'll have to do some more brainstorming!

These are the circle JD doesn't like much - their above the toilet.
Also new to our home is the BEAUTIFUL coffee table that our friend made just for us!!! We got it about a month ago and I forgot to post it. We absolutely love it and it makes our house look so good. The only problem is it make the rest of our furniture look cheap!!!:)
Oh, the rug is new too! JD took me out shopping for it just after Christmas!
Here is my little belly that I haven't taken a picture of until now. I'm embarrassed with the picture but JD was playing PS3 and only had time to take one!
JD brought this home one day after work!!! It made my day and I was SO surprised!!!! It made me feel very special!
As you can see things are going very well for us and we are very happy!

So long, farewell.....

Today we said good-bye. Our upstairs friends bought her from us. We're so excited that they did! However I think I'm really going to miss her. This morning I told JD to enjoy his last drive to work in it and he told me I was having a harder time with it then he is!!!! :) What can I say, I'm vain and I like how we look when we're in it! But it's on to practical - something more baby friendly.

She measured Madison's feet and they are just over an inch long! After all the measuring my due date is still June 16th! We're excited for next month cause we'll get our targeted ultrasound.

Christmas time was sure fun!

I didn't end up taking as many pictures as I'd hoped. J.D. got me a telephoto lens and I couldn't wait to use it but we were mostly inside. Christmas day was SO beautiful in Arbon with the snow on the trees, but I forgot my camera in Pocatello and didn't get to take any pics of it. :( I got some fun ones of Christmas morning with the Oborn side though! Here they are:

Lucy was not happy to be up at 5am! She snuggled right up to J.D. and didn't want anyone to talk to her!!! It was pretty cute!

Lucy have me a mean look when I took this!! But it's dang cute!

This is Cody R and the newest member of the family Julia! She is six months old which is how old Madison will be next Christmas! It was fun to look at her and think about how next year will be different for us!

This is Jessie and Kevin. Kevin didn't wake up too well either!! He threw up a little and then fell asleep on Cody for the rest of the morning!

This is Terri (my mother-in-law)!!!! We were play Quelf and she had to wear this till she drew a green card. It was hilarious. Tessa had to snort every time she laughed so we'd all laugh at Terri, then Tessa would have to snort and we'd all laugh at her!! It was a never ending cycle!

Here is the profile! We loved that her nose stuck out!
J.D. had to create jewelry with something other than jewelry so her created this high-chair necklace!!!! Tessa is tucking in her shirt getting ready to go grab as many objects around the house and stuff them in her shirt!!!
We had a blast!! The best was getting to be with family. It was sure great to talk with Tyrel who is in Ukraine also. We got to talk with him for three hours.
I wish I had some pictures of my family playing the Wii! My Mom and Dad were super funny to watch play tennis; we were worried Dad would knock over the tree and that my Mom was going to twist her back!!! :) Oh, fun times! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

We're having a.....

GIRL!!!!
Hurray, we are so excited!!
Her name will be Madison Rose and we'll call her Madie for short!
While we were waiting in the doctor's office yesterday I asked JD what he thought it was (I've asked him before and he wouldn't answer me). He said "I think it's Madison Rose." Sure enough the doc is 85% sure that it is a girl! I've been thinking it was a girl for awhile and it was fun that both JD and I thought we'd be having a girl!! The Dr. also said that she has long legs!!!!! Where would she get that from?!
We're very excited and can't wait to meet her!!!

What do you think it will be?

I realized that it has been awhile since I last updated everyone on how our little one is developing. I went to the doctor two weeks ago and she said everything is looking great. I even got to see its little hands and feet moving around! But the best part of all is that we should find out what gender our baby is the next time we go in!!!!!!! Our next appointment is on the 23rd, so if all goes right we should know before Christmas!!!!! I'll be starting my second trimester next week and happily this means that my nausea has started to disappear!!! Hurray!
I want to know what everyone thinks we're going to have, so leave a comment of what your guess is and we'll see who is right when the 23rd gets here!!
JD and I have been very busy. JD has work and church responsibilities that keep him busy. I've been busy as well, not only am I working full time but I was in charge of getting the crafts for our Super Saturday put together, and now I have some orders for plaques that need to done before Christmas, not to mention I haven't even started Christmas shopping. Even though we are very busy, we are very happy!

Blessings come to those who serve!

I realized it has been a VERY long time since I have written. We have been very busy.
JD is busy with work and with his church calling. We have been blessed through his calling though. We are lucky to be home teaching partners and last week we went and visited some families. It was such an amazing feeling to go and visit some of those who are in need in our ward. One cute old widow (widow for 30 yrs) said to us, "Thanks for coming, it is so nice to hear a human voice." She has a cat and she said she was beginning to Meow. Our goal now is to go visit at least two people ever Thursday night!
I'm very busy with work, I feel like I'm always at the Family Support Center, which means I don't get anything done at home that I want/need to. And to make things worse our dishwasher broke so that adds to my work. The pregnancy is going well; we're 11 weeks tomorrow and we go to our second Dr. apt tomorrow. I'm experiencing many of the pregnancy symptoms and not really enjoying it! JD is tired of hearing me complain about the changes that are happening in my body.
We are very grateful for all the Lord has blessed us with! I'll update ultrasound pics tomorrow.

Halloween & Update!....Must see!

Here is a picture of one of our Halloween costumes!!! We wore this to our Families Halloween party. And Yes it is an AnNounCeMent! This is how we told our Family! In case you can't tell, I'm an oven with a bun in it and JD is The Bun Maker! :)
Here is a picture of our Ultra Sound! We are almost 8 weeks along and our due date is June 16th! We're pretty excited!
This was our other costume for the ward Halloween Party. We were Hanz and Franzine, I don't have a picture of what I looked like yet, but this is what JD looked like! He got quite the laughs!

This is my friend Andrea and her two little boys, they looked So cute! Her kids are cuties; I get to help her with them on the Sundays when her husband is at work! I enjoy it very much!

I thought this was SO clever! I loved your costumes Lindsay!
